Woke up and drove around the block to get the car up to operating temperature. Then I got the car in the air and let it cool down for a bit. While I was waiting I made some fresh french pressed coffee and drank it. Then changed the oil and rotated the tires. Pretty relaxing morning I must say.

I don’t like them in black. Such a gorgeous wheel, it’s a shame to have them dissappear in the shadows

Normally I have that exact same thought. I hate black wheels normally. My neighbor has an s2000 with those exact wheels and they actually pop in real life. They just never look right in photos. So this is one of a very very few set of wheels I am okay with being black.

The french press allows you to brew beans without a large machine on the counter all the time.

The filter is a metal sieve instead of a paper filter so the oils and fats from the coffee beans stay in the coffee. That adds to the flavor. There’s also the ability to change the taste of the coffee by varying the brewing time and the quantity of coffee you use. And it’s a lot more simple. You just put in fresh ground coffee, add 1/3 of the hot water. Let it bloom for 2 minutes. Stir to break up the top layer. Add the rest of the water. Let it steep for 4-6 minutes depending on preference. Plunge down the filter and then enjoy the coffee.

It’s also very relaxing on a lazy weekend morning too. You get the benefit of smelling the coffee as it blooms and steeps. You don’t really get that with a regular coffee maker. Waking up and performing that ritual just makes the morning a lot nicer.

Oh it definitely is. Added with the fact that I was able to perform the change with the garage door closed to stay a little warmer and play music from my laptop.
